It What is! Method has or order It no,
I mean to say.
What is it? It has no order or method.
The definition of chaos is:
-behavior so unpredictable as to appear random, owing to great sensitivity to small changes in conditions.
-the formless matter supposed to have existed before the creation of the universe.
-a state of total confusion with no order:
It seems to me that the world currently is in a chaotic state. No order and definitely sensitive to small changes. The individual is most important and demands that everyone acknowledges them. Of course, that is hard to do because everyone is acknowledging themselves and demanding to be acknowledged.
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
It’s very hard to avoid them since we work with them, drive next to them, live next door to them, go to church with them, watch them in the news, maybe married to them, have them as a family member, OR are one of them.
The world is mad at normal, mainstream, majority, status quo and conformity. We’re busting out and doing it our way. And when I’m all alone, doing it my way, I’ll get mad at everyone for not following along and conforming. Maybe I’ll shoot the moon at my neighbor or get a grenade launcher and level their house. I’m going to do whatever it is that makes me happy. And what that is, is freedom, freedom to do whatever I please whenever I want without being a slave to anyone.
The problem is, if we are all free to do whatever we want then we are all slaves to each other. We can’t drive over the lane or drive in the wrong direction without coming in conflict with someone.
How do you react to these things?
What does God have to say about them?
1 Corinthians 14:33 God is not a God of confusion but of peace.
Proverbs 25:28 A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.
James 3:16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.
1 Corinthians 14:40 But all things should be done decently and in order.
1 Corinthians 10:24 No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.
Romans 2:8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.
Matthew 5:43-44 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Luke 6: 27-33 “But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. “Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either. “Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back. “Treat others the same way you want them to treat you. “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. “If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
