Scripture says, we have not because we ask not or we ask for the wrong things. (James chapter 4 verse2 and 3).
God answers prayer, consistent with His will, in the timing which is appropriate for us. Or not.
God’s will is both unconditional and conditional.
For example:
Unconditional,
God's promise to send a Savior was fulfilled by Jesus Christ.
A gift based on God's love and grace alone.
Conditional,
God wants that all should be saved, however His conditional will is that we must confess that we have sinned, Jesus died on the cross for those sins, He was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven, and is Lord of Lords. (1 Timothy chapter 2 verse 4, Romans chapter 10 verse 9), and John chapter 3 verses 16 and 17).
We must meet the condition before His will is done. Remember, they’re His conditions not ours.
How do you determine which is God’s unconditional or conditional will?
Read scripture and pray the verses back to God asking for understanding, application, and fulfillment of necessary life changes you need to make. Changes which help you meet the conditions needed to realize His will.
Continued fellowship with God brings understanding.
Sometimes you might enter into prayer and you’re speechless which is a great time to stay quiet and just listen for God or enter into worship.
A great way to start prayer, sit quiet, or worship is to join in with the angels, living creatures, and elders in their continuous worship, as described in Revelations chapter 4, by visualizing God on His throne and repeating,
“Holy, Holy,Holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.”
““Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.””
Trust that He knows best and keep praying. Don’t forget there were days you prayed for the things you have today.
God loves you and listens to those who believe He exists or have a heart felt desire to know Him. He wants you to have what you ask for especially if you ask for the right things.
Amen?
